News from
Grange Moor Brass Band

CONCERT - Saturday 3rd December

Earlier today the band played at the annual Honley St Mary's Church Christmas Street Market, along with Jill Kemp and The Swing of Things. The band played a variety of Christmas-sy, and not so Christmas-sy music to the audience who also helped out with some carol singing and even a bit of choreography in one piece! But, also at the event were representatives from the local internet radio station Two Valleys Radio, who recorded the band playing a couple of pieces of music, including the American military march Liberty Bell by John Philip Sousa (perhaps best known now for its link with Monty Python!).
As well as the band's version of Liberty Bell being played on the radio station, the band's conductor Valerie Hope was also interviewed live on the radio! Well done Val, you did the band proud.
